So Christmas has come and gone and we are now facing the end of another year. Looking back on the past year trying to make sense of all that has happened. Life is good, even if I don't always see the up sides in it. I love the life I live, and wouldn't trade it for any other life.
As for Christmas, the kids made out pretty good. They got what they asked for, except for a couple of things. They didn't seem upset over what they didn't get, they were extremely happy with what they did get. We got them the Kinect for the Xbox, so hopefully they will be more active while they play video games. They are loving it, and have been playing it every day. I have to say that the funniest thing ever is watching my husband playing Dance Central, with Tori, it was absolutely hilarious.
This past year has been full of ups and downs. There have been moments were I have wanted to throw in the towel, and others that had my heart overflowing. One thing is for certain, things are good. I was crowned the "Coolest Mom in the History of Moms" when I said OK to an all night Rock Band competition. Then had the title stripped from me when I said No to an unchaperoned party. But don't worry, I regained the title when I showed Isaiah how to make Christmas ornaments with some temporary tattoos (we now have Star Wars ornaments for our Christmas tree). Jd and I also gained the title of "Bestest Aunt and Uncle" by Amanda, when we gave her a puppy for Halloween. Jd found out that if you shake a baby (Little Josh) too much he will eventually throw up (the baby, not Jd). Isaiah learned that with hard work, dedication and fun you can be a champion. The team he played football with (The Giants) where undefeated this season, taking the Championship trophy for his division. Tori discovered that she absolutely loves being on stage, she started Drama this year in school. I was a little disappointed when she told us that she was dropping out of Band to pursue Drama. But I must say that I love seeing how happy she is when she is on stage. She loves to perform and be in the spotlight on the stage. Both kids are doing great this year in school, Isaiah loves his teacher, and Tori enjoys hers. Tori decided to try Spanish this year, to get her foreign language credit and has found that she loves it. I got a new dog, she is a pitbull mix named Peppermint, we all call her Pepper. I love her to pieces. We got her back in the beging of October and she is about 4 months old now. Tori's cat Spooky, passed away back in September. He was 13 years old, and lived a great life. I think that about sums up our year, or least the things I haven't posted about yet.
The upcoming year will find us facing new challenges and I am sure that we will over come them as well. Tori will be turning 16 this year, I am so excited for her, and I can't wait to start planning a party for her. I'm not sure what we are going to do, but I am sure it will be great. Isaiah is going to be turning 10, and is already talking about the upcoming Baseball season.
