Catch up

So again I have failed at keeping everyone updated. So here it goes.
Some where between my last update and now Football season has ended. The Eagles did alright they finished last in the standing which is OK. We had the youngest and most inexperienced team in the league. All the boys got a trophy and the coaches had great things to say about them all. It will be interesting to see how next season goes. Isaiah has already decided to play again next season, and is even thinking about playing baseball in the spring.
Tori is still playing the Trumpet with the school band. They had their first concert just before Christmas break (the videos are up on my YouTube). They sound great and did and awesome job. I can't wait until the next concert. She is still learning the Saxophone on her own and has also picked up a guitar from her friend, and she plans on teaching herself how to play it.

Both the kids are doing really well in school, I am proud of both of them. JD is still working his ass off for the City, and I have been babysitting my friend Mandy's daughter a couple days a week. Other then that it is business as usual here at the Anderson house. We do have a new addition to the house, a Guinea Pig named Angus. Tori got him as a Christmas gift from her grandparents.

Halloween was great. We did our usual party here at the house and tons of people showed up. All the kids were well behaved until a certain Adult decided that they were "Defective" and started a candy war. While the candy was flying and everyone was having a great time, we only had one casualty (a picture lost it's glass). Everyone had a great time hanging out, eating and watching scary movies.

Thanksgiving this year was a little different. Everyone went to Joe and Shelia's house in Tennessee. Everyone that is except Bonnie's family, JD and myself. My kids went with my Mom for the Holiday. So for Thanksgiving this year we went over to Bonnie's house where Bonnie and Lauren put on a great meal. I got to hang out with the little girls and we played board games and they put on a concert for me. It was a lot of fun, but I missed my kids terrible while they were gone.

Lets see, that about brings us up to, Christmas. Before Christmas Tori had her tonsils taken out on the 18Th. She did really well and was home the same day. By the 25Th she was sick of eating scrambled eggs, mashed potatoes, Popsicles, ice cream and sherbet and was dieing for Real food. She said "I never thought I would get tired of eating junk, but all I want is something real". A couple days after Christmas Tori was feeling well enough to eat actual food and hit McDonald's with a vengeance. I think she ate 3 large fries and a double quarter-pounder in one sitting. After that the next couple of days were a blur of fast food and junk, I think we ate McDonald's a total of 4 times in 3 days. She also wanted Subway, Fox's pizza and Dairy Queen. And for all of you that don't know me and JD, what the kids want the kids get (with in reason), so for 4 days we ate fast food to appease the Princess.

Christmas was great, the kids made out like bandits as usual. I keep hoping that I will get that big reaction from my kids. You know the one you always see on TV where the kid(s) are jumping up and down and screaming with joy at getting what they really wanted. I never get that. I always get "Aw Cool", "That Rocks" or just a plain old "Thanks". Just one time I would love to see them jump up and down and scream because they are so excited. Along with their presents they each got a Tony Hawk skate board which they wanted and they got Rock Band for the Xbox. I got "Aw cool" from both of those, and Tori got a purple Light Saber, and I got "I got a purple Light Saber, What now?" LOL Kids are funny. Christmas dinner was at Martha and Larry's house and it was great. Everyone showed that usually shows, some stayed longer then others. We took our leave at about 3 so that kids could get home and check out their Christmas stuff (we headed over there shortly after opening gifts).
New Years eve, was fun. We sat up playing Rock Band with the kids, untill about 2am. We had some much fun. It is funny to watch Isaiah play the guitar on that game, he is so serious about it. Staying is normal for us, I think last year we stayed up playing pool with them. We don't go out on New Year's eve unless we go to Bonnie and Blain's house.
I think that is about all for now. That is what has been happening in a nut shell at least. My New Year's Resolution: To lose weight and be better at updating my blog.
Love, and many blessings for the New Year to all.
